Bio


Oregon attorney Eric Tait has represented clients acting as both plaintiff and defense counsel in a wide variety of auto accident, personal injury, and insurance disputes since 1995.  He has handled hundreds of cases through settlement, arbitration, and trial.  He has tried cases throughout Oregon, including Clackamas, Multnomah, Marion, and Washington Counties.  He has served as an arbitrator in over 100 cases.  He serves as a Pro Tem Judge in Clackamas County.  He serves on the Clackamas County Arbitration Commissioners panel, and is a former Clackamas County Bar secretary.  He is a member of the Oregon, Federal, and Clackamas County Bars.

Work Background

Eric began his career working in Oregon City, handling general litigation, personal injury claims, and insurance defense.  After ten years of private practice, Eric took a job working as senior staff counsel for a national insurance company.  There, he handled and oversaw cases in Oregon, Washington, and Nevada.  After gaining valuable experience learning the inner workings of an insurance company, Eric formed the firm of Cole Tait, PC with law partner Andrew Cole.

Outside The Office

Oregon has always been Eric’s home. Growing up in Gladstone taught him the values that make Oregon a great place to live and work. In his spare time, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, golf, and an occasional round of pickleball.
